The Bronco Nation team can’t wait for a week of outdoor adventure in the hills around Moab. It’s the first-ever Moab 4×4 Expo (October 28-31), and for some it might be the first time they’ve ever been to the beautiful, rocky mountain town. Champion Off-Roader Loren Healy is no stranger to the city’s wild paths—beaten, and unbeaten—and took a break from his Expo prep to share some of his favorite spots.
- Hells Revenge – This is my favorite trail, and not because of the of the difficulty, but because of the epic scenery! The huge up and down red rock climbs can be concurred in a stock vehicle but never fails to take your breath away around almost every corner. The overlook at the Colorado River is one of my favorite spots in Moab and is one of the most incredible spots to take a break, eat some lunch or just admire the view.
- Pritchett Canyon – If I want a challenge Pritchett is my go-to! It’s known as the toughest trail in Moab, and never fails to hold up to that reputation! The obstacles are tough, parts are pushed to their limits, and you have to be really careful of potential body damage. I recommend a spotter, 35-inch tires minimum, lockers, skid plates and a winch. Have fun!
- La Sal Loop – I love taking a chill day to run up over the La Sal Loop for a day adventure. In the early Spring there is a good chance you will get into snow. Fall provides amazing color changing trees, and the Summer is great for a hike to the lakes. I highly recommend dinner at the winery on the deck over the river on your way out!
- Honorable mentions – Moab Rim and Top of the World. Both due to the pay off at the end with the incredible views. Definitely put them on your list!
