Will we be able to order the winch with our Before Job 1? I talked to 2 different dealers, the winch is not currently available in the Ford order window.

I am ordering the winch if it's factory installed. If it's dealer-installed I will buy it aftermarket which is a lot cheaper. I've installed a few winches and it gets sloppy adding battery cables, routing them so they look professional, adding the circuit breaker and the wiring back to the overhead switches. Does anyone have any info on whether it's dealer installed? My dealer is supposed to find out before the order is placed.

Seems like this might also be a casualty of the issues going on currently with the ordering system. I wonder if most of these accessories are late availability items and will be dealer installed. Once again, info on this would of been nice for all of us trying to plan our orders...
I was told by my dealer the winch, pod lights and rock lights would push my order to a late year build. So i opted out since the overhead switches are prewired, i can put all the lights on myself. Not happy about the winch. But its looking like all factory installed accessories will push orders to the end of the year. Check with YOUR dealer to confirm.
Per my dealer here in Denver (Phil Long Ford) those are dealer installed accessories and are ordered later down the road. Which I think for the winches could be a good thing going to synthetic possible for the same money that Ford was charging
I guess Ford might have or create a winch mount (solution) for the front of the Bronco, then we can buy the winch of our choice. Dealer or Off Road shop could install. At least, that is what I expect, but never know, maybe the winch blocks too much air & causes overheating...Or exceeds GVW.
They already have the winch bumper and winch setup. The winch is just a Ford performance part and installed at the dealer. Not factory installed off the line as was thought previously with the accessories chosen.
I still want to order the winch of my choice. Picture had synthetic line but description said wire rope. Much prefer synth.
If you buy the Warn aftermarket it comes with nylon rope. My last winch came with steel and I just replaced it with nylon. About $66 on Amazon or EBay.
Ordered my BANDLANDS this week and got the same thing from my dealer they couldn't add the winch, plus he couldn't verify if it was going to be synthetic or steel. ones that have been seen have synthetic but it says on build steel. but for that price it should be synthetic
Expect we will need to buy the winch mount (solution) from Ford Parts Department. Don't know if dealers will handle Warn or other winches. If not, order from the shops that have been selling these sorts of things to J**p people for many years. Dealer might install, or DIY, or go to one of those Off Road Shops. I have the choice of Dealer or 3 good off road shops in town.

The one in build and price is not an option yet in the order system. I am thinking it will get added before our final builds get scheduled and start production in May. The Ford one is a warn Zenon 10 with confusion wether it’s the 10 (steel cable) or 10S (synthetic cable). Build and price description states stainless steel but all images reflect synthetic with the guide system up front. Build and price has not been the most accurate with descriptions
I was hoping the winch would be installed on the factory assembly line. If it were the battery cables would be custom fit. The control harness would be part of the main harness wired into the overhead switches. The relay and fuses would be integral with the fuse block, etc, etc.
if the winch is dealer installed I would never buy it but instead install it myself. You can buy the 10K Warn with Synthetic rope including an APP which lets you control the winch with your phone. The whole package is way less than half the $2500 Ford price.
