Ford salesman here!

The reason some dealerships are sending out swag is mostly to do with one reason: dealer priority. More Bronco orders= more marketing $$ and demo allocations by big daddy Ford. My dealership has like 7 Bronco orders (myself included) so we get nothing. We got a single pack of Bronco Sport flyers and that’s it. We allegedly have a FSB demo coming around late March/ April timeframe but that’ll be hard to forecast. Which is really weird to me, because we are the only dealer in our region to sell every new and most pre-owned units on our lot with a complimentary lifetime powertrain warranty. I’d think Ford would take that into consideration and send more goodies our way. But we are small so it’s all about numbers I guess.

Any other results might be because your salesman handling the orders is either really committed to making you love them and spending their own money to get Bronco merch to send their customers... or the opposite; lazy and not paying much attention because you don’t count as a sale until you’re signing for the keys this summer, or they’re simply slammed working their regular customers.
Hey Broncadonk MKG, do you know if each dealer was limited to how many early reservations could be turned into orders for potential 2021 delivery? My dealer said they had 30 and i got number 30 due to a reservation cancelation.

Just curious if you had any insight.

Also pardon my crappie spelling.

I meant sasquatch in my othe post.

I’m not the best source for an answer because we’re so small, we haven’t had any sort of problems with quota limits. I’m not saying they don’t exist, I just don’t know. For dealers with 50+ reservations, Ford was allocating accessory demos for their showrooms. So those of us who ordered at big dealerships can expect lots of parts and accessory displays as soon as this next month.

If I had to guess though, I’m guessing you either misinterpreted what your dealer said or your Bronco specialist might not be interpreting the factory guidance correctly. If my dealership had a reservation cap dependent on res-to-order turnover and ratios comparing to other dealerships who had like 100+ reservations, that would mean we’d be allocated like 5 reservations and that’s not the case. We had less than 20 reservations to begin with.

Unless someone from Big Ford tells me otherwise, I am running with this theory: ALL reservations are being converted to orders. The dependent variables are simply supply & demand for certain trims/ parts, etc., which is the only reason you’d get a late MY21 or you’d get the option to preorder MY22. For instance, I ordered a BD 2-dr 2.7l. Our Bronco specialist spoke to our regional Bronco coordinator and he got back with me after he took care of all the other orders (prioritizing customers over me because he submitted the orders all at the same time to the factory. Not mad because I’d do the same thing), and Ford said I might have a late MY21 BD because demand is too high for the 2.7 and the 2 door frames combined.

Thanks for the information. I thought the allotment pitch sounded a little squirrely. Later in my order process he did mention what you said about trim/accessories.

I got a BD/4dr/mid trim/sasquatch/2.7l cyber orange.

However long it takes, it looks like it will be well worth the wait.

Cannot speak about BRONCO conversations with dealerships,
However having Bronco Sport conversations with dealerships~
A few fleet and floor managers have used whining and complaining sentences to comment on how
little profit margin there is in the Bronco Sport.

I selected a non-complaining dealership!
The swag i got so far is a positive salesguy!
Pricing i agree with.
Which resulted in me happily and confidently telling cheesy greed dealerships who are up selling on msrp...
'Go Pound Sand, greed gets nothing from me'.
And that...
Created some swag!!!

Well here is my story. My brother and I both have reservations in the SAT area but from 2 different dealerships. From the information I got from the salesman and the information my brother got from his salesman is that they both have similar reservation numbers at around 500. And similar allocations of around 80, my brother has received a box of swag on two occasions I have not seen anything. Both of us are paying MSRP and because his will be a MY 22 they did not take a deposit I will most likely be a MY 22 and they asked for a $400+ the $100 res fee as a deposit. I don’t really care about the swag as long as I get my Bronc, I’m fine. Just a tale of two dealerships.

Hmmm if on a monthly waiting list for an order a little swag may comfort the anticipation?!
Think theres something to customer appreciation.

Two brothers same area
Any particular reasons you chose seperate dealerships?
Pricing better if buying 2? Thnx

Totally agree Jakob1972, swag not a big deal just a curiosity. The best will be the actual Bronco.

I can't wait to drive it and take pictures on the beach at Carolla, NC with the wild horses that live where the road runs out.

Well we wanted to see who gets theirs first. My dealership is large but it is outside of San Antonio very affluent part of town they sale mostly trucks. I figured most folks wouldn’t be getting a Bronco around here, they would visit the Mercedes, Porsche, Farrari dealerships down the road. My brothers dealership is in a more populated area and they do large volume. I don’t think they will be running any pricing deals on the Broncos anyway. Besides I bought two cars on the same day from a dealership and it was like pulling teeth to get the simi-crappy deal we got, but they were the only dealership that had both the cars we wanted with the options we wanted, didn’t want to have to deal with another dealership.
